The concept of this calendar is to provide menstruating people a visual way to learn and track the phases of their cycle. I wanted this calendar to be educational & meaningful and still have a fun, approachable design for the everyday person.

I chose to Risograph print this calendar for its beautiful textures. The dot halftone is used as pattern and wayfinding withing the calendar system. It also creates an ombre effect that visually represented the transitional periods throughout the 28 day cycle.

The System
The visual representation was important to orient the user within their cycle. Each color used in the calendar respresents a new phase. The gradient colors visually show the transition from one phase to the next and can also represent the variability in each individuals cycle.
